Karachi Journalists Gather at Karachi Press Club for KUJ (Dastoor) Annual Iftar Dinner

Karachi Union of Journalists (Dastoor) organized its iconic annual Iftar dinner at Karachi Press Club, attended by senior journalists, media workers, and members of the media fraternity.

Karachi: The Karachi Union of Journalists (Dastoor) organized its traditional annual Iftar dinner at the Karachi Press Club for its members, journalists, and media workers, with a large number of media professionals in attendance.

The KUJ (Dastoor) annual Iftar dinner is considered one of the most significant and long-standing gatherings of the journalist community in Karachi. Every year during Ramadan, journalists eagerly look forward to this event, which brings together media professionals from various organizations on a single platform.

The event was attended by senior leadership of the journalist community, prominent journalists, media workers, and former secretaries of the Karachi Union of Journalists and Karachi Press Club, among other notable figures from the media fraternity.

The gathering provided an opportunity for journalists to reconnect, exchange views, and strengthen professional relationships. Informal discussions were also held regarding issues faced by the media industry and the challenges confronting journalists.

A large number of female journalists also attended the event. Women reporters, anchors, and media professionals from various media organizations participated in the Iftar dinner, adding to the diversity and vibrancy of the gathering.

President of the Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi, Syed Ahmed Shah, also attended the event and joined the journalist community for the Iftar dinner.

During the gathering, a special prayer was offered for the departed soul of Irfan Chaudhry, the younger brother of KUJ (Dastoor) President Nasrullah Chaudhry, whose tragic passing was deeply mourned by the participants.

On the occasion, KUJ (Dastoor) Secretary Rehan Chishti appreciated the hard work of the KUJ (Dastoor) body, volunteers, and senior members for organizing such a successful event. He also thanked everyone who contributed to making the annual gathering a memorable one.

The large turnout of journalists and media workers once again made the event a memorable occasion, reflecting the unity and spirit of the journalist community under the platform of the Karachi Union of Journalists (Dastoor).
